Traditional management techniques and orchard work.

 

We are able to undertake a number of traditional land management techniques such as hedgelaying, coppicing and restoration of historic coppice.  

 

Our orchard management approach focuses on tree health, yield and yield quality.  This involves summer and winter pruning, mistletoe management and integrated habitat management.

We have considerable experience of planting, both large scale planting projects and the planting of large trees.  We are able to assist at every step of the process, from species selection and determining appropriate planting techniques, as well as undertaking the larger planting works requiring the use of machinery.

Caring for and promoting the longevity of our trees is essential for biodiversity and local ecology, soil health and community. There is a huge body of evidence supporting the benefits of trees for emotional and physical well being.  

 

By supporting both the tree and its associated environment, we aim to promote the vigour and long term health of the tree, and support its structural integrity.
